Description

Blockchain in Manufacturing (Intermediate)

Blockchain and related distributed ledger technologies have the potential to disrupt the industrial sector. While this development can be challenging for established players, it also offers new opportunities to innovate processes and develop new business models.

Building on participants’ pre-existing basic knowledge of blockchain technology, the course discusses advanced technical concepts such as smart contracts and oracles, both from theoretical and practical perspectives. Based on a solid understanding of the technology, the design and evaluation of blockchain-based solutions are discussed.

The course is focused on knowledge transfer and consists of two online sessions where participants will learn about and discuss advanced concepts, fields of applications and concrete use cases.

In the Blockchain in Manufacturing (Intermediate) online training, participants will gain an extended understanding of blockchain technology from a technological as well as business perspective including:

  • concepts such as dApps, Oracles and Smart Contracts
  • current and future applications of the technology in the industrial sector
  • a basic understanding of the design and evaluation of use cases.

The training programme will include two sessions with the following topics:

Session 1: Advanced Concepts

  • Smart Contracts and Tokens
  • DApps, Oracles
  • Protocol Landscape and Ecosystems

Session 2: Use Cases
