Elevate Your Proposal: Expert Tips for EU Funding Success

The webinar provides a comprehensive exploration of immediately applicable insights and expert guidance for crafting a high-quality European cooperative proposal, taking into account the perspectives of reviewers. It will focus on Horizon Europe but is also applicable to other funding opportunities. Successfully preparing and submitting an international proposal requires substantial time and precise planning. Practical tips will be provided, spanning from the planning of the proposal and the formation of the consortium to the consideration of European strategies.

The session will also address the anticipation of broader and specific impacts to facilitate the creation of a well-structured proposal. Production-relevant topics, such as IP strategy, privacy, robustness of data models, data sharing, and alignment with sustainable development goals (SDGs), will be discussed. The training concludes with an open question session, allowing participants to seek clarification on individual queries.

  • Gain an enhanced understanding of the key elements that contribute to an outstanding and cohesive proposal.
  • Acquire practical insights into effective proposal design and conception, including dos and don’ts for optimal results.
  • Explore the perspective of experts and reviewers in understanding and evaluating proposals.
  • Extract key take-home messages for efficiently crafting high-quality proposals.
  • Engage in open question sessions, either by submitting questions one week prior to the webinar or directly during the event, to receive personalized responses.
  • Explore the option of booking individual sessions for confidential inquiries that are not intended for the general audience.

Duration: The webinar will take 2h from 10:00-12:00 CET. Optionally an additional 30min or 60min one-on-one session can be booked. Please select your option when booking the webinar.

Individual session: If you choose to add a one-on-one session with our expert, the date for the session will be arranged with our staff after your purchase.

Certification: Upon completion of the online course, participants will receive a Certificate of attendance.

  • Topic 1 – Key issues to be considered for proposal/conception and writing
  • Topic 2 – Practical information from the expert’s view related to the main sections of European Proposals: Excellence/Impact/Implementation
  • Topic 3 – Inputs how to target IP strategy, privacy, SDGs, data sharing and AI Act.
  • Topic 4 – FAQs, Open session for individual questions which can be sent to the organiser one week before the webinar or can be asked directly during the webinar.

Optional session: an additional 30min or 60min one-on-one sessions can be booked in order to elaborate on individual questions that might be too sensitive for the webinar. These optional one-on-one sessions can be booked in combination with the webinar or separately without attending the webinar.

Lecturers

Mag. Sabine Seidl, CMC, born in Vienna in 1972, holds a degree in international business administration with a focus on research and innovation, international organization, and accounting. She is a certified management consultant and the founder/owner of Ideas in Motion Unternehmensberatung, as well as a shareholder of Technologies4you GmbH.

Since 2008, Sabine has served as an expert evaluator, reviewer, and rapporteur in various framework programs and European Commission agencies. Since 2020, she has been a member of the final IEP for funding schemes supported by Eureka and part of the consulting pool of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce. She also serves as a “proposal checker” for the Vienna Chamber of Commerce in the funding department.

With over 30 years of experience, Sabine is a seasoned funding and innovation expert. She was the founder and an 18-year shareholder of an Austrian high-tech company globally active in developing, implementing, and servicing quality control systems for automated metalworking productions and additive manufacturing processes.
Sabine established Ideas in Motion Management Consulting in 2000 with the vision of turning ideas into reality and providing the right impetus for implementation through funding or alternative finance. She introduced the brand “foerdercoaching©” to support a structured funding consulting process.

Her expertise lies in project development, project implementation, business and commercialization plans, funding advice, and international project and expansion management, particularly in industrial technologies within the production, service, and ICT sectors. Sabine has successfully guided numerous regional, national, and international funding projects, supporting the entire value chain from project ideas or research results to the first market entry and further international expansions. She has earned awards for several project submissions, particularly for SMEs, including niche world champion and export prizes with an Austrian High Tech SME.

In addition to her extensive experience, Sabine has pursued additional education and expertise in management consulting, design thinking, strategic and technical product management workflow©, and digital business modelling. This comprehensive approach enables her to guide organizations seamlessly through each phase of research, innovation, and commercialization.
